Today at church, ps graeme kirkwood spoke about having encounters with God, and how these encounters help us in our journey to maturity. Listen through the noise of everyday, hear Him speak. Behold Him who is knocking at our door, invite Him into our situation. Recognise that encounters are ways God takes us a step into faith in Him.

Encounters and miracles do not establish faith, they build faith.

The message was built around Mark 6: 1-5, and 54-55. When there is a lack of faith, only few were healed. but when there is strong faith, even touching Jesus' cloak brings healing.

Church was great today. But what was more amazing was my conversation with my friend Jon. He was sharing with me how God gave him the opportunity to minister to 2 of his friends even through playing DoTA with them! reminds me to use my talents wisely. we shared about the circumstances that we've been through, and how it shapes one's perception. he used a very interesting illustration (we were rearranging our drinks and mobile... the water bottle was conveniently called 'summit'.), but more amazing was that the things he spoke to me was exactly the same as this morning's sermon, although he wasn't there!

Condition of the heart. Praise God even in the desert. The circumstances are there to build our character and help us grow in faith in Him. It doesn't matter what you're doing in the physical realm, most importantly your heart must be right.

Rom 15:5-6 (NIV) "May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you a spirit of unity among yourselves as you follow Christ Jesus, so that with one heart and mouth you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ."

God I want to invite you into my life, and not just let you keep knocking all the time.
